Your FlightThe easiest way to get to Avignion is by TGV [high speed train] from Paris. There is a station located at the airport, and you can usually time your flight and train time to be synced with one and other pretty perfectly.
If you plan on driving and renting a car you may also want to look into flying to Nice. This gives you access to the South of France as well.
